About This Challenge

Valentina Tereshkova was the first woman to travel to space, making history in 1963. To honor her achievements, we have created a timeline game that allows players to learn about important events in space exploration history.

  • Players will have to correctly place events such as the first moon landing and the launch of the International Space Station in chronological order.
  • The game will test players’ knowledge of key milestones in space exploration and help them understand the progression of human achievements in space.

  • June 16, 1963: Tereshkova becomes the first woman to fly in space aboard Vostok 6
  • June 16-19, 1963: She spends nearly three days in space, orbiting the Earth 48 times
  • 1963-1964: Tereshkova receives numerous awards and honors for her historic flight
  • 1964-1970: She becomes a prominent figure in the Soviet space program
  • November 3, 1963: Tereshkova marries fellow cosmonaut Andriyan Nikolayev
  • June 8, 1964: She gives birth to their daughter, Elena
