Grammar Alert: Gender Agreement

In Hebrew, nouns have gender – masculine or feminine. The word for ‘cat’ is חָתוּל (chatul), which is masculine. When using adjectives or verbs to describe a cat, make sure they agree in gender with the noun. For example, ‘a black cat’ would be חָתוּל שָׁחוֹר (chatul shachor).
