Grammar Guide: Gender in French Weather

In French, nouns have a gender: masculine or feminine. When describing the weather, remember that the word for ‘weather’, temps, is masculine. So you would say il fait beau temps for ‘the weather is nice’, using the masculine form of the adjective.
