Arabic Essentials: Definite vs. Indefinite

In Arabic, common nouns can be definite or indefinite. Definite nouns have ‘al-‘ (الـ) prefix, while indefinite nouns do not. For example, ‘car’ is سيارة (sayara) (indefinite) and ‘the car’ is السيارة (al-sayara) (definite).
