Grammar Alert: Gender Matters!

In Italian, nouns have gender – they are either masculine or feminine. When talking about dogs (cani), remember that it is a masculine noun. So, you would say ‘the dog’ as il cane (masculine) and ‘the dogs’ as i cani (also masculine).
