Grammar Guru: Gender Agreement in Arabic

In Arabic, the words for ‘teacher’ and ‘classroom’ have gender-specific forms. For example, ‘teacher’ is مُعَلِّم (muʿallim) for a male teacher and مُعَلِّمَة (muʿallimah) for a female teacher.
